Camila Cabello discusses how the press made her feel vulnerable on the beach. The musician was photographed sporting a bikini at the beach earlier this weekend.
The Senorita singer Camila Cabello writes a lengthy post on her Instagram account on her difficulties with body image. While paparazzi photos of the singer in a bikini spread on the internet on Saturday, she took the time to explain what she goes through when she simply wants to spend some time in nature.
The singer admitted that wearing bikinis in public makes her feel self-conscious. She also chastised society for instilling unrealistic beauty standards on women.
Furthermore, she slams the paparazzi for taking that by mentioning, “I’ve never had a worse time”.
She added that this was not happening for the first time. This happened to the singer many times. Whenever she went to the Miami beach, she was mobbed by the paparazzi. They even hide in the bushes to take pictures of the celebrity.
Cabello wrote that she “didn’t breathe” due to the paparazzi despite wanting to relax at the beach. She felt uncomfortable after seeing all those pictures on the internet even though she felt good about her outfit on that day.
She didn’t even eat anything heavy on that day because she was aware that there was going to be a whole photoshoot going to happen.
In her actual words, “I held my core so tight my abs hurt and didn’t breathe and barely smiled and was so self-conscious of where the paps were the whole time I couldn’t let go and relax and do what we’re meant to do when we go out into nature. I tried to pretend they weren’t there, but I couldn’t, and I held my breath from my sun chair to the ocean.”
Camila also admitted that the images and pictures of celebrities we see on social media are not the reality.
They all “photoshop, restrictive eating, over-exercising, and choosing angles make our bodies look different from how they are in the moment and their natural form.” The media failed to focus on the healthy body of a woman.
The former ‘Fifth Harmony’ songstress finalized her message by telling fans that her goal was to “get back to feeling like seven year old me on the beach” who was “happy, silly, breathing, pretending to be a mermaid, FREE.”
Camila Cabello took to the beach in Miami on Saturday to catch some sun rays in a skimpy two-piece swimsuit. She kept herself occupied with a book called ‘All We Can Save’ as she relaxed over the weekend.
She expanded, “I’ve never had a worse time at the beach. I’m not yet at the point in my journey where I can not give a fuck.”
Seeing Camila Cabello’s state, her fans commented, “It’s so sad that this human being can’t share her own body with bikini on the beach, because all the fuc… Paparazzi are there Waiting for her like wolves in the jungle”.
