Early Life

Delhi is where she was born and raised. Her mother worked as a teacher, and her father ran a modest printing business where he produced visiting cards. Prior to her entering the tenth grade, they lived in a rented home. Currently, they own their own home. She had a reputation for being exceedingly smart and diligent. There wasn’t even a single book in the library that she hadn’t read, she claimed in an interview. Her parents always gave her anything she desired, despite coming from a middle-class family.

She began modelling at age 18 for print advertisements. Although her dad wasn’t very happy with my modelling, her mom, who comes from an army family, was fine with it. Intro

Divya began modelling when she was 18 years old. At the age of 20, she relocated to Mumbai, where she met Bhushan Kumar and received her big break in the film industry. In the 2004 Telugu film Love Today, she made her acting debut. She also made an appearance in Falguni Pathak’s music video for the popular song “Aiyyo Rama.” With the release of “Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo,” she made her Bollywood debut. After that, Divya took a long hiatus from performing to concentrating on directing.

Following her completion of a course in cinematography and editing, Divya went on to direct music videos for artists including Agam Kumar Nigam, Jermaine Jackson, Tulsi Kumar, and a few commercials. In 2014, Divya produced Yaariyan, her debut film after directing 20 music videos.       1)   Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyont (Movie)

Major General Amarjeet Singh is a devoted Indian Army soldier who is portrayed by        Amitabh Bachchan. His son, Captain Vikramjeet Singh, follows his father into the Navy (Bobby Deol). During the 1971 Indo-Pak War and the founding of Bangladesh, Lt. Commander Vikramjeet Singh was given command of a ship and an Indian Army regiment by his father, Major General Amarjeet Singh. Vikramjeet is aboard the ship when it is attacked by a Pakistani Navy submarine, damaged, and sinks, but not before he bravely saves about 100 army soldiers who are stranded. 

Years later, Vikramjeet’s son Kunaljeet enlists in the army as a captain, but he doesn’t hold the same views about selfless duty to the country as his father and grandpa did. He only intends to serve in the army for a few years before relocating to the US, where he will launch a successful business and amass a fortune. To do this, he always makes up excuses as to why he shouldn’t move forward. In order to be near Shweta Bhansali (Divya Khosla Kumar), with whom he is in a romantic connection, he decides to stay in the army. He pretends to be a hero in order to receive a medal, but after carelessly jeopardising an intended terrorist strike, many of them manage to escape. After receiving penalties and reprimands, Kunaljeet waits to visit his fiancée and discovers that she is betrothed to his senior officer, Major Rajeev Kumar Singh (Akshay Kumar), who was actually a prisoner of war but was incorrectly believed to have died. Kunaljeet discovers that terrorists working with rogue Pakistani commanders aim to blast the Bhagwan Shivji’s Amarnath Temple in Jammu and Kashmir in an effort to stir up religious unrest as soon as the one thing keeping him to the army is cut. The entire population is saved, and Kunaljeet wins over his grandfather.

      2)   Yaariyan (Movie)

Yaariyan, a contemporary young film, takes viewers through the highs and lows of their prime years of life. The story of five close friends who spend the happiest years of their lives in college while forging new relationships and learning new ideas is told in the Sikkim boarding school setting of “Yaariyan.” Yaariyan is about a variety of characters, their alliances, friendships, relationships, problems, amusement, and mistakes. It is about their yaariyan through thick and thin, good times and bad. Yaariyan is all about your firsts, including your first encounters with love, hardship, eruptions, and enduring friendships. 

This movie was Divya Khosla’s first attempt at directing a movie. The music video she directed helped Divya improve her direction, and in 2014, she became inspired to helm her debut Bollywood film, Yaariyan. Additionally, Divya Khosla Kumar choreographed five songs for this movie, all of which were hits. She has filmed the movie’s songs Baarish, “Maa,” “Love Me Thoda Aur,” “Allah Wariya,” and “Zor Lagake.”
