The countdown for the 64th annual GRAMMY Awards 2022 has begun. This year’s GRAMMY is set to be a hit with a long list of truly epic star-studded performances.

This year’s leading performers include Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, whose attendance has just been confirmed publicly. Gaga last appeared on the Grammy way back in 2019.
The last time the Grammys were celebrated in full glory and glamour was in 2019, and then the Covid-19 pandemic forced the annual event to a halt for nearly two years.
Coming back from the temporary postponements, this year’s Grammy is set into the annals of fashion history with compelling performances.
Notable celebrity journalist Trevor Noah will be the lead host of the 2022 GRAMMYs. Noah will be entertaining the audience with performances from nominees Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne, and many more.
The top awards presenters include Megan Thee Stallion, Joni Mitchell, Questlove, Lenny Kravitz, Dua Lipa, Ludacris, Billy Porter, Bonnie Raitt, and Keith Urban. Avril Lavigne, Jared Leto, and Michaela Rodriguez will also present the awards winners.
As per celebrity gossip, Justin Bieber, Daniel Caesar, and Giveon will be performing together. Meanwhile, J Balvin with Maria Becerra, John Legend, Carrie Underwood, and Silk Sonic will open the star-studded ceremony.
There will also be some firsts in the history of the Grammy in this year’s ceremony. For instance, Maverick City Music, Aymee Nuviola, and Billy Strings will spotlight genres not historically represented on the Grammy’s telecast. The trio will also be performing in special segments showcasing the exquisites of Las Vegas.
Some other notable performers announced by the Recording Academy include current nominees Jon Batiste, H.E.R., Nas, and Chris Stapleton.
Former Grammy winner Cynthia Erivo will also do a special performance called ‘In Memoriam’ that will feature songs of the late Stephen Sondheim and current Grammy nominees Leslie Odom Jr., Ben Platt, and Rachel Zegler.
The acclaimed Foo Fighters were also originally enlisted as top performers on the show. However, they no longer will grace the occasion after the unfortunate death of the band’s drummer, Taylor Hawkins.
If this list were not long enough, multi-nominees Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo would also take centerstage. Additionally, Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow will jointly perform their superhit, ‘Industry Baby.’
World-famous Korean-pop superstars BTS are also set to showcase a jaw-dropping performance to celebrate the nomination of their hit song ‘Butter’ for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.
Jon Batiste leads the 2022 Grammy nominations with 11 nods. While Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and H.E.R. have each earned eight nominations. Eilish and Rodrigo have secured seven apiece.
Rodrigo is the forerunner for the Album and Record of the Year and Best New Artist categories. Meanwhile, Silk Sonic’s ‘Leave The Door Open’ is expected to win the Song of the Year award.
The 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held at the M.G.M. Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 3, 2022. The ceremony will air live on Sunday, April 3, at 5 p.m. P.T./8 p.m.
