Early work and debut in acting

Shannon served as a waitress at Cravings on Sunset Blvd and a culinary demo lady at Gelson’s in Marina Del before her time on Saturday Night Live. She went on to be chosen in her initial significant movie role, portraying the secondary character of Meg in the fright movie adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera. She made a cameo in season 2 of Twin Peaks in 1991.
